Welcome to the home page of the Somerville Democratic Committee!
Our goal as a committee is to keep the town we call home the lovely Democratic stronghold that it is. We want to address the problems that our town faces, talk with town residents, and listen to everyone who wants to share their concerns. We have goals for our county, goals we are committed to achieving, all to better our home town called SOMERVILLE!

The Somerville Democratic Committee is comprised of two people per "election district."
This means our Committee has 18 local Somerville residents. We are looking for people to join our committee and help keep Somerville the great Democratic borough it is.
Some of the tasks we expect from our Committee members are as follows...
RESPONSIBILITIES for MUNICIPAL COMMITTEE MEMBERS
To the greatest extent possible:
· Attend quarterly Somerville Democratic Committee meetings
· Attend the yearly Somerville Democratic Committee Reorganization meeting
· Attend Somerset County Annual Convention
· Attend the biennial reorganization meeting
· Distribute literature and walk with local, County, State, and Federal candidates during election season
· Gather signatures for local candidate ballot if needed
· Phone bank when needed
· Engage in local, County, State, and National Democratic functions
